BookBeat is part of Bonnier Books and serves subscribers across Sweden, Finland, Norway, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, the UK, and several other European markets. It is the primary streaming platform for publishers targeting the Nordic region. Getting listed requires valid ONIX 3.0 metadata submitted through their publisher portal — alongside the audio files.
Every submission is validated before ingestion. These are the fields BookBeat requires to be present and correctly structured:
BookBeat's ingestion expects specific ONIX codes for digital audio. Sending the wrong ProductForm or leaving ProductFormDetail blank is the most common reason a submission fails without a clear error message.
BookBeat operates across Sweden, Finland, Norway, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, the UK, and more. If your Sales Rights composite doesn't cover the territories you're licensing, titles won't appear in those markets.
Each market requires its own price composite. A single-currency entry will pass schema validation but won't activate the title in markets that use a different currency.
Product form and format detail codes for digital audio are selectable from the right ONIX code lists. No need to look up values manually.
Set sales rights and prices per territory. The tool generates the correct ONIX composites for each market — Sweden, Germany, Norway, and the rest.
Required fields are checked against the ONIX spec before you can download the file. What you send is what gets ingested.
